A Taste of St. Croix
Started in 2001, A Taste of St. Croix was the brainchild of two local restaurateurs who sought to highlight the diverse and delectable cuisine of St. Croix with its influences from all over the Caribbean and the world.
Pooling culinary artisans from over 50 local restaurants and eateries, the event spotlights a myriad of island dishes from haute cuisine to down home cooking. And to compliment all the amazing food being served, high-end wines representing winemakers and producers from all over the world are also served.
A select and discriminating panel of industry judges sample and vote on each entry, making the event all the more entertaining and enticing as entrants compete in a variety of categories from Best Local Fare to Best Presentation and Peoples’ Choice.
The Eighth Annual A Taste of St. Croix will be held on April 17, 2008 at the Divi Carina Bay Resort and is open to the general public. All proceeds from the event are donated to The St. Croix Foundation.
